Valkarana – Relais di campagna stands on the shores of a lake, Lago del Liscia, a short distance from the famous Costa Smeralda / Porto Cervo and its beautiful beaches. Nestled among oak trees, centuries-old olive groves and scented Mediterranean plants, Hotel Restaurant Valkarana is a genuine oasis of calm and wellbeing. It looks like a typical Gallura farmhouse decorated with hand-crafted granite stones.

The hotel has 19 rooms, a bar, a lobby, a restaurant with large verandas, porches, an outdoor swimming pool for adults and children, a garden, private car-parking facilities and private access to the lake. An archaeological site is within walking distance: you can reach it through a path which runs through unspoiled nature.

This country hotel includes several buildings: an old ‘stazzo’, a typical rural one-storey building of the early 1900s’ carefully restored and used today to exhibit local produce and products; the restaurant with its panoramic views and huge rooms elegantly furnished with traditional fabrics and furnishings; the rooms set amid original Mediterranean shrubs tastefully decorated using traditional materials such as wood, brick, granite, wrought iron and Sardinian ceramics.

Living Sardinia to the fullest means discovering its fragrances and flavours: the Valkarana Restaurant offers its visitors the most popular dishes of the island's gastronomy such as the ‘Porcetto al mirto’ (roasted pork with myrtle), the ‘Zuppa Gallurese’ (soup Gallura-style), fine cheeses and cold cuts, ‘Seadas’ (special fritters), black bass and lobster Catalan -style, accompanied by the best local wines such as Nebiolo diLuras, Vermentino di Gallura, il Moscato di Tempio, to name but a few.

The hotel has a beautiful freshwater swimming pool for adults and a children's pool surrounded by flowers and green plants. Guests are offered free use of sun umbrellas and sun beds.

Children reductions sharing the room with two adults

- Children from 0 within 2 years old in the same bed with parents free of charge, baby cot Euro 10,00 per day (on request, to settle on property);

- Children from 3 within 10 years old supplement of Euro 20,00 or 40,00 per night on adult rate depending on the period.

Following penalty charges will be applied:

- for cancellations made until 8 days before the arrival, no penalty charge will apply;

- for cancellations made from 7 day before the arrival, no-show or early departure, will be charged in full (100%).

The Valkarana Hotel is located a few kilometers from Sant’Antonio di Gallura. Reaching the Hotel is very easy, since it is not far both from Olbia airport and seaport and from Golfo Aranci seaport. 

From Olbia Costa Smeralda airport (OLB): Approx.30 km SS125, Santa Lucia road (SP38bis, SP 38), SS427, SP137 Follow the road signs for Tempio - Calangianus - Sant'Antonio di Gallura. When you reach Sant'Antonio di Gallura, carry on along the main road for about500 meters, turn slightly left and drive along road SP137; after about1 kmturn left and follow the signs leading to Valkarana.
