La Casa di Babbai: Description
The charme’s hotel la Casa di Babbai (whose name dates back to its original owner, Monsignor Salvatore Pes, called by everyone “Babbai” in the half of the 19th century, name given to that person of great charisma and personality) is situated in Gallura in the small town of Nuchis and is located 3 km away from Tempio and few kilometres from the villages of Calangianus, Luras and Aggius.
The old granite structure of the 18th century has been renovated with all the comforts. The meticulous research of details in the renovation and furniture gives the guests moments of serenity in the warmth of the house.
The hotel has single rooms, double and triple rooms with air conditioning and private bathroom clad in stone. The linen and lace curtains, carpets, wardrobes and wrought iron beds evoke the warmth of traditional houses of Gallura. The small library with reading room offer moments of relaxation, while the typical breakfasts with homemade cakes let rediscover an ancient way to start the day.
The proximity to the coast, about 40 km, permit of reaching the beaches of Emerald Coast in about 30 minutes. Located at the foot of Mount Limbara, the hotel offers as well the possibility of hiking in the mountains and in nearby archaeological sites.
