Historic records relate that the original building was founded by the Friars (this is proved by the small church still present on the site); over the years it was turned into a flourishing farm as it can be inferred by the structure and also by the orchard. Because of the ancient features still visible (such as wooden walls, clay and straw bricks, stone pavements, wooden and iron-wrought pieces of furniture) the hotel is considered as a National Trust building.
Its special location makes it unique: close to the mountains of the Nature Park “Sette Fratelli” and just a 5 minute walk from the sea. Beautiful antique style rooms equipped with all comforts: private bathroom with shower, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone. All rooms are characterised by wooden pieces of furniture, iron-wrought beds, stone walls and floors, wooden ceilings. Some rooms are located in the most ancient part of the building, dating back to the nineteenth century, whereas some others are in the part of the Hotel which used to be a farm in the first years of 1900. The refurbishment of the Hotel safeguarded the features and the magical atmosphere of the original building. All rooms overlook the so-called “corti”, large courtyards that would serve as a meeting point for the farm inhabitants. At the hotel it is possible to experience a relaxing yesteryear holiday.

Cancellation Policy
- All cancellations made from 0 to 8 days before arrival or no-shows are subject to a penalty of 100% in April, May, June, September and October;
- All cancellations made from 0 to 15 days before arrival or no-shows are subject to a penalty of 100% in July and August.

Il Monastero Hotel is located in Geremeas, a sea resort near Cagliari. The city is only 20 minutes away and can be reached travelling on the coast road for just 21 km.
Its position is unique: on the surroundings, one finds the mountains of the Natural Park “Sette Fratelli” (where it is possible to spot deers and mouflons). Only 300 mt. from the Hotel, there is the renowned sandy beach “Kala e Moru” over 2 kilometres long.
